As any dad would be, Allan Beier—owner of A & B Portable Welding—is proud of his son, who has finished his mechanical engineering degree and come back to Consort to work for the company.  

A & B specializes in fabrication, both in the shop and out in the field. The company works strictly with the oil and gas industry and mostly on pipe. A & B does a lot of facility work: batteries, tying in oil and gas, refinery. Because A & B has feeders on its trucks, workers have no problems pipefitting a well.

Right now, A & B is working on a project in the Consort area making an area piggable. Most of the employees at A & B are tradesman: pipefitters and welders. And, of course, Allan’s son, the mechanical engineer.
