PRECISION CNC MACHINING
In the 1940s and 1950s, manually controlled machines like handwheels and levers started being replaced with machines. Since then technology has only gotten better, allowing Saturn Machine Works the ability to do precision CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machining.
Saturn Machine Works manufacturers and supplies a variety of parts to the oil, industrial and automotive industries. While the company does a lot of high tolerance profile work and production machining for companies like Weatherford, Saturn Machine Works also has been known to do some prototype work.
The machines in the Saturn Machine Works shop are definitely not handwheels and levers. As well as the fully equipped conventional machine shop, the company runs 11 CNC machines, all programmed using a Mastercam workstation. In the four work centres, these machines could build almost anything. And they do build almost anything.
The company is proud of both its safety program and quality control program. All material test reports are traceable, measuring instruments are calibrated and controlled, and there are systems in place to track non-conformances and reworks. Saturn Machine Works also prides itself on being environmentally conscious.
